Counseling

Our School Counselors support all students in their social/emotional learning, and improved academic success through a variety of services.  We offer a continuum of services to our students in which we empower them to make positive choices and use the skills learned to equip them with the tools they will need to successfully navigate new feelings, social situations and interactions, and to build and maintain positive relationships.

We are all stewards of our children, and to that effect, we are all responsible for assisting our children when they are in crisis or have needs that we can support.  Parents, teachers, campus support assistants, administration, and our students themselves may request a meeting with our counselor to talk through any issues and help manage feelings.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Individual short-term counseling for students in need; (parent consent required for regular, on-going meetings).

  • Classroom Lessons on Friendship, Kindness & Empathy, Coping Skills, and District-Wide ‘Franchised’ Lessons.

  • Small Counseling Groups for – Grief, Social Skills, and Self-Control & Management.

  • Student Mediations for those who need assistance in Conflict Resolution.

  • Consultation with Parents, Teachers, and Administration.

  • Connecting Families to School and Community Resources.

If you have a concern that you would like for our counselor to address, please send an email to Ms. Fowler at Veronica.Fowler@venturausd.org
